Rowing Wraps Up Season at National Invitational Rowing Championship

Worcester, Mass. - May 9, 2022 - The Mount Holyoke College rowing team concluded the 2021-22 season on Sunday as the Lyons competed at the National Invitational Rowing Championship, hosted at Regatta Point Park.

In the women's varsity eight, the Lyons took fifth overall in the second heat of the day, clocking in a time of 7:08.213. This result secured a position in Final No. 3, which the Lyons took fifth in with a time of 7:17.769. This boat was led by coxswain Jaya Nagarajan-Swenson (Berkeley, Calif.), who led a team of Celeste Keep (Bolton, Mass.)Emma Waldron (Pittsburgh, Pa.)Simran Kaur (Hanover, N.H.)Lilla Carroll (Birmingham, Ala.), Piper LaPointe (Norfolk, Mass.), Ellie Mohn (Exeter, Conn)Jill Slatch (Gansevoort, N.Y.) and Meghan French (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.).

In the women's second varsity eight, the Lyons took fifth in the second heat with a time of 7:56.439. From there, Mount Holyoke competed in Final No. 3 and crossed in 8:03.453 to secure a second-place finish. In this boat was Jennifer Butler (Knoxville, Tenn.) as the coxswain, followed by Bea Rodriguez (Miami, Fla.), Claire Gabel (Watertown, Mass.)Caroline Odlin-Brewer (South Portland, Maine), Reeve Haefele (Rockville, Md.)Dina Markovich-Koyfman (Seattle, Wash.), Autumn Lee (Memphis, Tenn.)Katherine Dailey (Camden, Maine) and Arin Rinvelt (Ann Arbor, Mich.).
