MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke junior Linnea Alsted was named Second Team All-Conference as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference announced its year-end field hockey awards on Wednesday.
Alsted (Crownsville, Md.) led the NEWMAC in defensive saves with 13, more than double any other player in the conference. She had four games with multiple defensive saves, including a career-high four against WPI on Oct. 11.
Making an enormous impact all over the field, Alsted continued to be a force on the offensive end as well, ranking third on the Lyons in points with 13, on five goals and three assists. In three seasons thus far Alsted has 39 career points on 14 goals and 11 assists, as well as 25 defensive saves.
Alsted is Mount Holyoke's first All-NEWMAC selection since 2022, when forward Kylie Brooks '23 was a Second Team selection.
