  • Four Student-Athletes to Attend NCAA Career in Sports Forum May 27-29

    South Hadley, Mass. - May 12, 2020 - Mount Holyoke College will have four of its student-athletes attending the 2020 NCAA Career in Sports Forum, which will be held from May 27 through May 29. The NCAA announced that it will hold this year's forum in a virtual format.
  • Hendricks '92 Named Department Lyon of the Year; Athletics Hosts Virtual Awards Celebration

    South Hadley, Mass. - May 1, 2020 - On Wednesday, April 29, the Mount Holyoke College Department of Athletics hosted a virtual Scholar-Athlete Ceremony and Athletic Awards Celebration to honor the 2019-20 academic year and all that was accomplished within the Department. Recognized for her hard work and dedication to the department and College, Chair of Physical Education and Director of Athletics, Lori Hendricks '92, was named the Department Lyon of the Year.

    South Hadley, Mass. - November 5, 2019 - The Mount Holyoke College field hockey team has earned the No. 6 seed in the upcoming New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship Tournament, and will travel to No. 3 WPI on Tuesday, November 5. The contest between the Lyons and the Engineers is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Alumni Stadium. This marks the 21st-consecutive season that Mount Holyoke College earned a spot in the conference tournament.

    South Hadley, Mass. - October 29, 2019 - Senior Micaela Pierce (Newton, Mass.) of the Mount Holyoke College field hockey program was recently chosen to attend the 2020 NCAA Division III Student Immersion Program this upcoming January. The NCAA Division III Student Immersion Program will be held in conjunction with the NCAA Convention in Anaheim, Calif. from January 22-25. 
  • Strong Second Half Fuels Field Hockey Past Eastern Connecticut, 3-0

    Windham, Conn. - October 29, 2019 - The Mount Holyoke College field hockey team scored a pair of goals to open the second half and was able to add an insurance tally late to hold on for a 3-0 victory against Eastern Connecticut State University on Tuesday evening at Rick McCarthy Field.

    Boston, Mass. - October 8, 2019 - The Mount Holyoke College field hockey team cruised to a 3-0 victory over Simmons at Daly Field on Tuesday afternoon. Mirei Golding-Powers (San Francisco, Calif.) got things started with a goal in the first quarter, before Kylie Brooks (Oceanside, Calif.) and Kass Lawrence (Holyoke, Mass.) both found the back of the net in the second half to seal the victory for the Lyons.
