WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - A second half hat-trick from Libby Dolan lifted Williams College past Mount Holyoke College in non-conference action on Wednesday evening. With the victory, the 13th-ranked Ephs move to 2-0, while the Lyons slip to 2-2 on the young season.

After a scoreless opening half, Dolan got the Ephs onto the board at 41:57 with an unassisted tally. She then connected on a pass from Meredith Wright less than four minutes later to give Williams the 2-0 edge.

Dolan's hat-trick was completed at the 62:08 mark after she converted a pass from Alex Bennett for the goal past MHC keeper Morgan Turner.

Williams played staunch defense throughout, limiting the Lyons to just one shot in the contest. Starting goalie Emma Santucci played the opening half and stopped one shot that came off the stick of MHC first year Chelsea Braz, while Abby Lloyd came on in relief for the second stanza. She was not forced to make a save. For Mount Holyoke, Turner recorded 10 stops in goal.

Mount Holyoke returns to action this weekend with a pair of contests. The Lyons will host Clark in the NEWMAC opener for both teams on Saturday (1pm) at the Turf Field. MHC then takes on Thomas (ME) on Sunday at home (11am). Williams is also in action for a pair of games this weekend, traveling to NESCAC-rivals Colby and Bowdoin on Saturday (11am) and Sunday (12pm), respectively.
