Sleep

The importance of sleep on one’s overall health, and specifically academic and athletic performance, and emotional wellbeing, cannot be stressed enough. As health care professionals, we also recognize and would like to emphasize the link between sleep deprivation and injury- Getting less than 8 hours of sleep increases likelihood for injury 170%.  Sleep is essentially medicine, and vital for sustenance and repair of tissue.  We encourage our athletes to make sleep a priority and to access the following links for more information.
