Lauren Selkin (Greenwich, Conn.) of the cross country team has been recognized as the Mount Holyoke College Athletics "Lyon of the Week" following a standout performance at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational this past weekend.
Selkin, a first-year student-athlete at Mount Holyoke College, helped lead the Lyons to its first win since the 2015 season, as she turned in a time of 19:10 in the 5k race, finishing fourth overall in the race. Selkin was the driving force behind a full team effort that saw six of the Mount Holyoke College cross country student-athletes finish in the Top 12, resulting in the first-place finish for the Lyons.
