Mirei Golding-Powers (San Francisco, Calif.) of the field hockey team has been selected as the Mount Holyoke College Athletics Department "Lyon of the Week" following a standout performance in the Lyons' season-opening victory over Roger Williams on Saturday.
Golding-Powers, a junior captain and International Relations major at Mount Holyoke College, had a career-best five-point performance in the Lyons 4-2 victory over Roger Williams, which included two goals and one assist. Leading 1-0 going into the second half, Golding-Powers picked up a pair of goals and help set up another as the Lyons were able to pull away from the Hawks for the victory.
