WESTFIELD, Mass - The Mount Holyoke cross country team competed at the James Earley Invitational on Saturday, finishing 21st out of 33 teams. The Lyons top finisher was junior Corrin Moss, who ran her personal best by 45 seconds (19:48.20) to place 36th out of 257 runners.

Finishing after Moss (Columbus, Ohio/Columbus Alternative HS) was sophomore Emma Raney (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto), who finished in 102nd place with a time of 20:55.45, while  classmate Michelle Serrano (Los Angeles, Calif./West Adams Preparatory) was close behind in 107th with a personal-best time of 20:59.41.

The next Lyon to cross the line was junior Emsie Cronin (Ledyard, Conn.Ledyard) with a time of 22:11.33 for 168th, followed by first year Olivia Wrobleski (Fall River, Mass./Bishop Stang) in 173rd, also finishing with a personal-best  time of 22:24.71. Coming in soon after was sophomore Brigit Wolf (New Providence, N.J./Union County Magnet HS), crossing the line in 22:34.71 for 178th place, which is a season-best. Rounding up the runners in the white race was sophomore Kayla Dillon (Great Barrington, Mass./Monument Mountain) in 184th place, crossing the line in 22:45.70.

In the Blue race, senior Julia Criscione (Bernardsville, N.J./Villa Walsh Academy), who ran a season-best, was the first Lyon to finish in 75th place out of 141 runners with a time of 23:20.05. Sophomore Maya Sterett (Alexandria, Va./Washington-Lee) ran a personal-best and crossed the line in 23:42.52, good for 82nd, while junior Victoria Parrish (Pleasantville, N.Y./Buram Hills) finished in 109th with a time of 24:44.46.

Mount Holyoke will look to carry positive momentum into the Seven Sisters Championships next Saturday in Northampton, Massachusetts.
