SETTING THE SCENE: Mount Holyoke College is up against Coast Guard for the 28th time in program history. The series dates back to 1991 in which the Lyons picked up a 2-0 victory. The Bears currently hold the overall series advantage with a 24-3 record. The last matchup was in 2016, which saw CGA win, 3-0.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (4-3; 0-2 NEWMAC) returns to South Hadley on Tuesday after falling to Wellesley on the road, 1-3. In the contest, The Lyons saw three players finish with double-digit digs, with junior libero Cameron Graham posting a team-high  of 11. Sophomore middle hitter Sasha Simine led the way offensively with eight kills, while junior middle hitter Jamesa Allen was close behind with seven. Overall, Simine owns a team-best 60 kills and also is the team-leader with 24 total blocks. The Ontario native also is second in the NEWMAC in hitting percentage (.372) and blocks per set (1.00).

THE BEARS: Coast Guard (7-3; 1-1 NEWMAC) visits the Lyons following a 3-2 win over conference foe Emerson on Saturday. First year outside hitter Bridget Boyle led the way with a team-high 16 kills and 12 digs, while sophomore Alexi Deane had 12 kills for the Bears. Classmate and setter Makenna Martin recorded a team-best 27 assists. Overall, leading the attack for Coast Guard is sophomore outside hitter Angelou Dunton with 101 kills, who also leads the team with 92 digs. Boyle sits right behind with 99 kills on the year.

UP NEXT: Mount Holyoke will be back at home on Saturday, facing Emerson College at 1:00pm. Coast Guard will be on the road once again on Thursday for a non-conference matchup against Merchant Marine at 6:00pm.
