SETTING THE SCENE: Mount Holyoke is back on the court Thursday evening, hosting the Blazers of Elms College. The match marks the 19th all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to the first contest in 2003 - a 3-0 Lyons victory. MHC has dominated with a 17-1 overall mark, including victories in seven straight matches.

THE LYONS:
Mount Holyoke (2-11; 0-7 NEWMAC) shouldered a tough 3-0 loss at the hands of conference-foe Coast Guard on Tuesday. The Lyons saw sophomore middle hitter Joy Maran lead the attack with a team-best nine kills. Senior setter and captain Natalie Lyon recorded 15 assists and tagged on 11 digs, while sophomore middle hitter Jamesa Allen posted a game-best three block solos.

THE BLAZERS:
Elms (4-12; 1-0 NECC) comes into Thursday's match on a three-game winning streak, its most recent win coming Tuesday in a 3-2 win at Mitchell to open the NECC schedule. Sophomore outside hitter Danielle Redding led the Blazers offense, notching 19 kills, while first year outside hitter Hannah Adams had 19 digs to go along with five service aces.

UP NEXT:
Mount Holyoke is back on the court on Tuesday when it travels to Springfield for a 7pm NEWMAC match against the Pride. Elms is right back in action on Saturday, hosting Lesley and Castleton at 11am and 3pm, respectively.
