SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Mount Holyoke College concluded action at the 2018 New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, competing in two events on the day. Overall, the Lyons collected three points at this year's meet, which included yesterday's sixth-place finish in the pentathlon by sophomore Charleen Theroux. Williams College took top honors at this year's meet, compiling 149 points.

In action on Saturday was first year Isabelle Wohlin (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley HS), who competed in the 60-meter hurdles. Despite a strong effort, Wohlin did not qualify for the event final, posting a mark of 11.76.

The Lyons also took part in the 4x800 relay, finishing solid for 13th overall. The foursome posted a time of 10:14.56, which was 10 seconds faster than the squad's goal time going into the meet. Comprising the relay squad was first year Simone Jacob (San Francisco, Calif./San Francisco University HS), sophomore Emma Raney (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto), junior Emsie Cronin (Ledyard, Conn./Ledyard) and sophomore Michelle Serrano (Los Angeles, Calif./West Adams Preparatory).

With the exception of Theroux, who will compete one more time during the indoor season, the Lyons squad is now idle until March 24th when they open the outdoor season at the Wesleyan Invitational. More information regarding Theroux's next event will follow soon as she looks to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the Pentathlon.
