Coklow Wins ECAC Title in 100 Dash; Waits for Nationals Bid

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Junior sprinter Camille Coklow won the 100-meter dash to pace the Lyons on the final day of the 2015 ECAC Championships, hosted by Springfield College. It was the second ECAC title this year for Coklow, who captured the 60-meter dash title during the ECAC Indoor Championships in March.

The Chicago, Ill., native posted a 12.15 time in the preliminaries, heading into Friday's final in second place overall. Coklow got off to an outstanding start, powering her way to victory with a time of 12.06. Her closest competitor finished with a time of 12.29.

Coklow, who is a graduate of the Latin School of Chicago, will now wait for selections into the NCAA Tournament. That meet runs May 21-23 at the Merrick-Pinkard Track & Field Complex on the campus of St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. With her time today, Coklow did move into the top 20, but the final field will be confirmed once all action concludes today across the country.

Also in action at this year's ECAC Championships was senior Dana Fry, who highlighted Thursday's action, with an oustanding finish in the 10,000-meter run. Fry (Tempe, Ariz./Miss Porter's School) finished seventh overall in the event, posting a time of 38:18.54. The event concludes her collegiate career, which has seen a number of outstanding finishes. In addition to several strong efforts in the 10k, Fry also re-set her own school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
