Track Duo Competes at ECAC Championships

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Mount Holyoke College track & field team saw a pair of student-athletes in action on day one of the 2015 ECAC Championships, hosted by Springfield College. Senior Dana Fry highlighted the day, finishing strong in the gruelling 10,000-meter run.

Fry (Tempe, Ariz./Miss Porter's School) finished seventh overall in the 10,000-m event, posting a time of 38:18.54. The event concludes her collegiate career, which has seen a number of outstanding finishes. In addition to several strong efforts in the 10k, Fry also re-set her own school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Also competing was junior sprinter Camille Coklow (Chicago, Ill./Latin School of Chicago). The defending NEWMAC champion in the 100-meter dash, she took to the blocks on Friday afternoon in her signature event, posting a preliminary time of 12.15. That time, which ranked second in the field, was good enough to advance her to the finals round on Friday.

Coklow will compete on Friday at 1:55pm. The ECAC Championships will also conclude on Friday at Springfield College. Live results for the event can be followed at http://nestiming.com/nests_prod/live/ecac15/.
