Coklow Earns National All-America; Finishes 6th in 60-meter dash

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Junior Camille Coklow became the first Indoor National All-American for the Mount Holyoke College track & field program since 2004 on Saturday at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships. Following a record-setting performance on Friday afternoon, Coklow powered her way to sixth in the event finals of the 60-meter dash, held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Coklow, who hails from Chicago, Ill., crossed the finish line with a mark of 7.72, edging out Texas-Tyler's Alexis Baldwin for sixth overall. She earned her spot in the event finals after surpassing her own school record in the event with a mark of 7.64 in the preliminaries.

The former Latin School of Chicago standout becomes the first National All-American for the Lyons since 2004 when Langhan Dee competed and placed in the 400-meter dash.

Over the course of the 2015 indoor season, Coklow finished eighth or better in the 60-meter dash in seven meets, including five top-five finishes. In addition to her victory at the ECAC Championships, she also won the event at the Smith Invitational with a time of 7.89.

Coklow also placed second in the 60-dash at the Wesleyan Invitational (7.94), fifth at the Dartmouth Indoor Classic (7.84) and third at the Division III New England Championships (7.84).

This is the second appearances at the Indoor Nationals for Coklow, who went to the meet as a first year. During that season, she recorded multiple school records and was a participant in a number of championship meets. One of her top outings came at the New England Division III Championships, where she finished second overall in the 55-meter dash and garnered All-New England honors.

Coklow now turns her sights toward the outdoor season, looking to return to the NCAA Championships for the third straight season, as well as defend her NEWMAC title in the 100-meter dash.

The Lyons open their outdoor season on March 21st, competing at Wesleyan University.
