Coklow Advances to Finals at NCAA Championships; Bests Own School Record

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Posting a new school record time of 7.64, Mount Holyoke College student-athlete Camille Coklow has advanced to the finals of the 60-meter dash at the 2015 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet is being held at the JDL Fast Track.

Coklow, a junior out of Chicago, Ill., posted a career-best mark in Friday's preliminaries. She finished third in her heat and is ranked sixth overall heading into Saturday's finals. Her time eclipsed her previous school record mark of 7.71, which she equalled at the 2015 ECAC Championships a week ago.

This season, Coklow has finished eighth or better in the 60-meter dash in six meets, including five top-five finishes. In addition to her victory at the ECAC Championships, she also won the event at the Smith Invitational with a time of 7.89.

Coklow, who is a former standout at the Latin School of Chicago, also placed second in the 60-dash at the Wesleyan Invitational (7.94), fifth at the Dartmouth Indoor Classic (7.84) and third at the Division III New England Championships (7.84).

This is the second appearances at the Indoor Nationals for Coklow, who went to the meet as a first year. During that season, she recorded multiple school records and was a participant in a number of championship meets. One of her top outings came at the New England Division III Championships, where she finished second overall in the 55-meter dash and garnered All-New England honors.

The 60-meter dash finals are scheduled for Saturday at 3:15pm. To watch live, click HERE. For results, click HERE.
