Coklow Wins ECAC 60-Meter Dash Title; Lyons Finish 30th

NEW YORK, N.Y. - It was a record-setting day for the Mount Holyoke College track & field team as two student-athletes posted stellar performances on the final day of the 2015 ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the NYC Armory.

Junior Camille Coklow (Chicago, Ill./The Latin School of Chicago) tied a lifetime-best of 7.71 in the 60-meter dash to win the event and become the 2015 ECAC Champion. Coklow had bettered her time in the preliminaries on Friday with a mark of 7.76. Her time currently sits ninth in all of Division III, which guarantees her spot in the upcoming NCAA Championships.

Also in action on Saturday was junior Elizabeth DeLeon (Boise, Idaho/Timberline), who was outstanding in the 1,000-meter run. She recorded a school record time of 3:03.53, which was good for eighth overall. DeLeon bested the previous record of 3:04.82 - set by Johanna Thomas in 2004.

The Lyons efforts on Saturday were preceeded by an excellent effor from senior Dana Fry (Tempe, Ariz./Miss Porter's School) on Friday. She crossed the finish line in a time of 18:35.29 - good for 13th overall in the 5000-meter run. It was an all-time best for Fry as well.

Coklow is back in action for the Lyons next weekend, traveling to Winston-Salem, N.C., to compete in the 2015 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet, which will take place at the JDL Fast Track, begins on Friday and runs through Saturday.
