Track & Field Competes at Multi-Divisional Dartmouth Classic

HANOVER, N.H. - The Mount Holyoke College track & field team saw a number of solid performances as it competed at the 2015 Dartmouth Indoor Classic. At the multi-divisional, non-team scoring meet, the Lyons saw four top-10 finishes across three different events.

Leading the way was junior Camille Coklow, who finished fifth overall in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.84. She also placed 15th in the 200-meter dash with a mark of 27.27. Other solid efforts were found in the 500-meter event, where first year Sunny Shan placed seventh overall with a time of 1:23.99. Sophomore Becca Rogers was just behind, finishing eighth with a mark of 1:24.47.

Sophomore Brianna Weir ran to ninth overall in the 1000-meter race, posting a mark of 3:11.68. In the 3000-meter event, junior Elizabeth DeLeon was 18th overall, crossing the line with a mark of 10:57.18. Senior Dana Fry finished just behind in 20th with a time of 11:01.21.

In the field events, senior Jennie Ochterski was 14th in the 20-lb. weight throw with a distance of 11.85 meters.

The Lyons return to action next weekend when it competes at the Division III New England Championships. The event, which begins on Friday and runs through Saturday, will be hosted by Smith College.
