FOUR PLAYERS COMPETE AT ITA NEW ENGLAND REGIONALS

Cambridge, MA. - The Mount Holyoke College tennis team saw four players in action on Friday, competing at the ITA Northeast Regionals, hosted by MIT.

In singles, sophomore Ayame Yazawa faced off against sophomore Lyndia Venditti of Colby, winning 6-1, 6-4.Yawaza then moved forward to challenge Victoria Yu in the round of 16. Yu edged out Yawaza by a 6-0, 6-0 margin.

Freshman Ching-Ching Huang battled against junior Nicole McCann of Wesleyan, falling 6-2, 6-1. In doubles, senior captain Alexa Colas and first year Catherine Peabody fell to Zhu and Rakocevik of host MIT, 8-1.

Mount Holyoke will return to the courts Saturday at home against Clark University in a conference duel at 12:00pm.
