Pruden Opens Action at NCAA Championships

SHENANDOAH, Texas - Making her second straight appearance at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, Mount Holyoke College junior Cathleen Pruden got things going at this year's event on Wednesday afternoon.

The Raleigh, N.C., native opened the day in the preliminaries of the 200-Individual Medley. Swimming in the fourth of six heats, Pruden posted a mark of 2:06.54, which was 26th overall. Only the top 16 advance to the event finals.

Pruden continues her charge toward All-America on Thursday when she competes in the preliminaries of her signature event, the 400-Individual Medley, during the morning action. Trials get underway at 11am (10am CT).
