CLINTON, N.Y. – Sophomore Ragini Ghose posted a pair of wins, but the Mount Holyoke College squash team was unable to get past Wesleyan University and Hamilton College in tri-meet action on Saturday. The Lyons, who fell by a 7-2 margin in both matches, slip to 2-5 on the season.

In the opening match against the Cardinals, the Lyons saw Ghose and senior captain Allison Shilling both claim victory from the second and third positions. Ghose won at two over Wesleyan's Smith by an 11-5, 11-5, 11-6 margin. Shilling then battled Ferreira to an 11-8, 11-5, 7-11, 7-11, 11-2 victory.

In the latter match against the host Continentals, Ghose gutted out an 11-4, 11-5, 12-10 win against Megan Grip. Junior Brandy Williamson also had a hard-fought victory, besting Lillie Simourian, 13-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-8 from the top of the ladder.

The Lyons are now idle for the holiday break, but return to action on Tuesday, November 29, when they host Tufts University at 7pm.
