Lyons Game Day Central: Soccer vs. Bay path on Tuesday at 6pm

THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke welcomes Bay Path University on Tuesday for the 10th matchup in program history dating back to a 3-0 Lyons victory in 2004. MHC holds a 6-3-0 advantage over the Wildcats, including shutouts in four of the last five contests.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (2-6-0) enters the match after shouldering a tough 1-0 loss to conference foe Wellesley on Saturday. Junior goalkeeper Amanda Manaster, the NEWMAC saves leader, took on 11 shots on goal and made 10 saves. For the year, Manaster has tallied 70 saves. Leading the squad in points for the year is senior forward Sara Sanaú Ruiz with 10 points on five goals. Both junior Avia Jacobs and senior captain Suz Rose each have two assists on the season. 

THE WILDCATS: Bay Path (4-2-0) comes in on a four-game win streak, most recently defeating Dean College, 7-1 on Saturday. Junior forward Jailinne Ruiz led all scorers with four goals on seven shots, while classmate defender Rebekah Herring added two goals as well for the Wildcats. In net, sophomore keeper Caitlyn Esposito made five saves.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke will be back in NEWMAC action on Saturday, hosting Springfield  at 7:00pm. Bay Path will also be in action on Saturday, facing Wheelock at home at 1:00pm.
