Golf Concludes Action at Williams Fall Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Action at the 2018 Williams Fall Invitational has concluded Round one action at the 2018 Williams Fall Invitational has concluded and the Mount Holyoke College golf team finished 11th overall in the field. The event, which was being held at Taconic Golf Club, saw NYU come-from-behind to win this year's event, recording a combined 622. The Lyons posted a combined 732.

Junior Susan Lee paced the effort for the Lyons, finishing 48th overall with a combined 178 (83-95). Rookie Cortney Qiu was second on the team and 52nd in the field after shooting a 179 (86-93), while junior Stephanie Spitzer was 58th overall with a combined 189 (88-101).

Sophomore Lahela Delaney and junior Elizabeth Andrian both finished in a tie for 63rd overall with combined scores of 193 (97-96 - Delaney; 99-94 - Andrian).

Individually in the field, Middlebury's Chloe Levins won medalist honors, shooting a 76 for a total weekend score of 146. Amherst's Morgan Yurosek was second with a combined 151 (80-71), while Williams's Joanna Kim rounded out the top three with a score of 152 (75-77).

New York University charged back on day two to win this year's event, posting a combined 622, after a sparkling 303 score in the Final Round. The host Ephs finished three strokes back on the day with a total of 625. Amherst rounded out the top three with a total score of 633. Wellesley charged back to finish fourth with a combined 649, while Middlebury closed out the top five with a score of 651.

Action at the Williams Fall Invitational concludes with the Final Round on Sunday at 8:30am.
