Golf Concludes Action at Jack Leaman Invitational

AMHERST, Mass. - Mount Holyoke wrapped-up action on Sunday at the 2016 Jack Leaman Invitational, finishing eighth overall with a score of 712 on the weekend. The host Jeffs won this year's event, posting a score of 637.

Pacing the Lyons effort on the weekend was junior captain June Conti (Amenia, N.Y./Miss Porter's School), who finished in a tie for third overall with a combined score of 160. After posting a round score of 81, she countered with a solid mark of 79 in the Final Round.

Classmate and fellow captain Allison Shilling (New Canaan, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) finished in a tie of 16th overall with a total of 166. She posted a score of 82 on day one and shot an 84 on Sunday. Junior Heeamin Lee (Chestnut Hill, Mass./Brookline) finished 42nd overall, shooting a combined 186 with a 92 on day one and a 94 in the finals.

Rounding out the action was senior Katie Poulin (Scarborough, Maine/Catherine McAuley) who placed 49th overall with a score of 214. She shot a 105 in the opening round and a 109 on day two.

Junior Vladislava Paskova was also in action on Sunday, shooting a round score of 95.

In addition to the victorious Jeffs, Williams was second with a score of 655, followed by Middlebury (661), New York University (664) and SUNY Cortland (685).

Mount Holyoke returns to action next weekend when it hosts the 2016 Liberty League Championships at The Orchards Golf Club. Action begins on Saturday and runs through Sunday. The winner of the event earns the conference's automatic qualifying bid into the NCAA Tournament.
