Golf Concludes Fall Season at Ann S. Batchelder Invitational

WELLESLEY, Mass. – The fall season came to an end on Sunday as the Mount Holyoke College golf team finished fifth at the 2015 Ann S. Batchelder Invitational. The Lyons complied a combined score of 676, led by a 17th-place effort from junior captain June Conti.

Conti (Amenia, N.Y./Miss Porter's School) shot an 81 on day one and had an 82 in the final round for a combined score of 166. Fellow junior and captain Allison Shilling (New Canaan, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) placed 18th overall, just three strokes behind with a combined 166. She shot an 84 in the opening round, countering with an 82 on day two.

Junior Heeamin Lee (Chestnut Hill, Mass./Brookline) finished in a tie for 22nd, posting a combined 169. She had an 87 on day one, rallying for an 82 in the final round. Classmate Amanda Lee (Windsor, Conn./Ethel Walker School) placed 31st overall with a combined 178. She had a 90 on Saturday with an 88 on day two.

Rounding out the team action was junior Vladislava Paskova (Sofia, Bulgaria/American College of Sofia), who was 41st overall with a 199. She had a 101 on the first day and a 98 in the final round.

Individually, senior Katie Poulin (Scarborough, Maine/Catherine McAuley) was 43rd overall with a score of 206. She shot 104 and 102, respectively.

Williams won this year's event with a score of 609 (309-300). New York University was second with a 629 (316-313), followed by Middlebury (640 – 319-321), Amherst (661 – 333-328) and the Lyons (676 – 342-334).
