Rowing Has Strong Performance at 2017 Quinsigamond Snake Regatta

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Mount Holyoke College rowing team had a strong start to the fall season, seeing three boats in action at the 2017 Quinsigamond Snake Regatta, hosted on Lake Quinsigamond. The varsity four A boat was 6th overall in a field of 22 participating boats.
 
With a time of 17:38.426, the leading Lyons varsity four boat turned in the highest finish at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta since the 2014-15. Also with a strong finish was Mount Holyoke's varsity 4 B boat, who turned in a time of 18:20.21, followed by the Lyon's varsity C boat, who crossed the line with a time of 19:50.465.

The top finishers in the race was the UNH in first with a time of 16:23.31, Vermont in second with a 16:44.832 mark, and Bowdoin in third, crossing the finish line in 16:47.913.

The Lyons are back in action at the Head of the Charles on the Charles River in Boston, Massachusetts next Sunday.
