BOSTON, Mass. – The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced its year-end honors and Mount Holyoke College student-athlete Amber Legare has been named to the All-Conference Second Team. Legare was one of just three players in the NEWMAC this season to average a double-double.

A senior forward out of Chicopee, Mass., Legare averaged 16.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per contests as a starter in all 25 games for the Lyons. She also chipped in with 34 assists, 30 blocks and 26 steals, while averaging 34.7 minutes per contest. Legare shot a team-high 66.7% (104-156) from free throw range and also had a squad-best 39.9%  (149-373) mark from the field.

Among the NEWMAC's best, Legare finished the season ranked fourth in points and third in rebounding average. She was also first in free throws made, fourth in field goals made and overall points (404), while ranking third in total rebounds (253). Additionally, Legare was fifth in minutes played per contest.

Legare concluded her senior season having recorded 10 or more points in 21 of 25 games, including seven with 20 or more points. She posted a career-high 31 points in a 71-61 win over Clark on January 7. Additionally, she pulled down 10 or more rebounds in 14 games, including a season-high 19 in a 70-54 win on January 10 over St. Joseph.

Among the other accolades Legare collected in 2014-15 included becoming just the 12th player in program history to record 1,000 career points. She accomplished the feat on December 9, 2014 in a 50-49 victory over MCLA. In that contest, Legare not only recorded a game-best 20 points with 11 rebounds, but she also nailed the game-winning bucket with one second remaining to give the Lyons the victory.

She amassed 1,270 career points with 881 rebounds, which rank third all-time in program history.
