THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke returns to action on Tuesday, welcoming the Golden Bears of Western New England University. It marks the 30th all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to the first meeting in 1982 - a 2-1 WNE victory. The Lyons own the series edge by a 23-6-1 margin, including wins over each of the last 10 matches since 2007.  

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (9-4; 4-2 NEWMAC) is back in action following a 5-2 victory over Wheaton in the Battle of the Lyons last Saturday. MHC erupted for four unanswered goals in the second half, including a goal and an assist each from juniors Mirjam Keochakian and Colby Newsham. On the season, senior captain Sophie Perekslis leads the MHC offense with 24 points (11 goals, 2 assists), while Keochakian is close behind with 20 points (7g, 6a).In the cage, sophomore Morgan Turner (9-4) has recorded 52 saves.

THE GOLDEN BEARS: Western New England (6-7; 4-5 CCC) comes into Tuesday's contest following a tough 4-0 loss at the University of New England on Saturday. Senior goalie Grace Trupe posted a career-high 17 saves in the loss. This season, the Golden Bears' offense has been paced by senior forward Brittany DeLima, who has 10 goals and four assists for 24 points. Classmate Michelle Carlson has 20 points (8g, 4a), while in goal, Trupe (4-6) has posted 86 saves.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Smith for a critical conference match-up at 12pm. The Golden Bears are back on the field on Thursday hosting Westfield State at 4pm.
