Riding Ready for IHSA National Championships

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - The Mount Holyoke College riding team heads to the Eastern States Exposition on Thursday as it opens action at the 2015 IHSA National Championships. The event at the Big E in West Springfield, features a number of the nation's best equestrian programs, and will run from Thursday until Sunday.

In addition to free admission and parking to the event, fans on campus can also take advantage of a FREE MHC spectator shuttle on Thursday, which will leave from Blanchard Circle. The departure times from the Blanchard Circle (to the Big E) will be at 8:00am, 9:30am, 11:00am and 12:30pm. The shuttle will leave the Big E (to Blanchard Circle) at 8:45am, 10:15am, 11:45am and 2:30pm.

Mount Holyoke, which is led by 31st year head coach C.J. Law, has competed at the IHSA National Championships over 25 times since Law took over the program. The squad has claimed three National titles (1986, 2000 & 2006) during its history.

The Lyons head into this year's competition on a high note after claiming top honors at the Zone 1 Championships on April 4. In addition to MHC, Tufts University will also be competing this year after finishing second overall.
