Lori Hendricks, Class of 1992, will enter her eighth year as the Chair of Physical Education and Director of Athletics at Mount Holyoke College during the 2020-21 academic year. Hendricks was previously an Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator at Mount Holyoke College from August 2007 through June of 2013, before being internally promoted to the Director position in July of 2013.

At Mount Holyoke College

  • Developed a department strategic plan that was endorsed by the College's Board of Trustees (2019).
  • Develops and manages department operations and staff salaries, budgets and the generation of annual revenue for the Department.
  • Completed $1.2 million soccer field and field house renovation projects (2015) and a $1.5 million renovations to Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium (2018). 
  • Spearheaded additional projects of $50,000 to enhance the Community Boathouse and MHC Equestrian Center.
  • Implemented DiSC training to improve department communication and motivation.
  • Created student-athlete Peak Performance Program and created programming for student-athletes.
  • Launched campus-wide ally network to ensure student-athlete access to institutional resources.
  • Established as a priority: transition programming for recruits' first contact with MHC, first year student-athletes, and seniors graduating from the athletics program.
  • Secured multi-year sponsorship for student-athlete summer internship program in Vietnam, 'Coach for College.'
  • Teaches "Hiking in the Pioneer Valley" physical education course and oversees independent studies and internships in college athletics. 
  • Responsible for Physical Education curriculum oversight.
