Mount Holyoke College Athletics to Suspend Spring Regular and Championship Seasons

South Hadley, Mass. - March 12, 2020 - Amid the rapidly-evolving COVID-19 situation, the Mount Holyoke College Department of Physical Education and Athletics is suspending its regular and championship seasons for varsity and club sports, as well as split-season sports and the nontraditional seasons for our fall varsity teams.  This will be effective Saturday, March 14, 2020.

Due to the College's decision, the Kendall Sports and Dance Complex will be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 15 for current employees and students only, but at 2 p.m. the building will be closed until March 29, 2020 for all. As of Sunday March 15, the Equestrian Center is open to Mount Holyoke faculty, staff and current resident students only.  Please continue to visit this page for updates regarding the Equestrian Center.

Additionally, as of Thursday afternoon, the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) reached a decision to to cancel the NEWMAC Spring Regular Season Conference Schedule and NEWMAC Spring Championships, effective March 16, 2020. The statement from the NEWMAC can be accessed here.
