Thank you, Lyons Nation! Below you will find our last Lyons Tales of the 2017-18 season! Thank you for all of your support during the season. It is our hope that everyone enjoys a relaxing and entertaining summer and we will see you again in August as we kick-off the 2018-19 campaign! Again, thank you for another great year!
The Lyons took to the water for the final time in 2017-18, competing at the National Invitational Rowing Championships on Lake Quinsigamond. Both MHC boats finished well in their opening heats, advancing to the Third Level Finals. The varsity eight captured sixth in the final and placed 18th overall in the event, while the second varsity eight was fifth in their final and 17th overall.
MHC saw sophomore Charleen Theroux (Coventry, R.I.) conclude the outdoor season for the Lyons, competing at the 2018 Open New England Championships at Dartmouth. She had come into the meet ranked 27th in the 400-meter dash, finishing 13th overall and fifth in her heat with a career-best time of 58.07.
