Lyons Tales: A Review and Preview of Mount Holyoke Athletics for March 12th

LACROSSE

Mount Holyoke was in non-conference action at home last week against Westfield State on Tuesday and fell, 7-3.  Senior Kaitlin Braz had a solid game, leading the game with six ground balls and three caused turnovers. In net, sophomore Mia Wysocki led with a career-high 14 saves. The Lyons are set for a pair of Spring Trainig Trip games in Colorado Springs, Colo. against RPI on Wednesday at 1pm ET (11am MT) and Colorado College on Friday at 1pm ET (11am MT). RIDING

Mount Holyoke is idle until March 24th when it competes at the UMass Show, hosted by Hampshire College.


SWIMMING & DIVING

Mount Holyoke sophomore Samantha Nemivant (Scottsdale, Ariz.) will be back in action on March 22, opening competition on the 1-meter board. The 3-meter event will take place on March 24. Nemivant becomes the first diver since 2003 to represent the Lyons at Nationals.

 

ROWING

The Lyons return to the water for the first time since October as they face the Coast Guard Academy in a Spring Training Scrimmage at the YMCA Beach in Seneca, South Carolina.
