RIDING

MHC returned to action on Saturday, claiming victory at the University of Rhode Island Invitational. The Lyons faced-off against two other strong Zone 1 competitors, seeing 12 top-3 finishes on the afternoon. Leading the charge was senior Anna Rzchowski (Madison, Wisc.), who earned the first blue ribbon of the day in Intermediate Fences. Mount Holyoke returns to regular season shows action on February 24th at Stoneleigh-Burnham School hosted by Smith College.

SWIMMING & DIVING

Mount Holyoke shouldered a tough loss at Smith to conclude its regular season schedule for 2017-18. The meet kicked-off in solid fashion as senior Claire Beckett (Haslett, Mich.), first year Gwen Evans (Deerfield, N.Y.), and classmates Naomi Brown (Bloomington, Ind.) and Jacqueline Park (Cambridge, Mass.) claimed victory in the 400-yard medley relay (4:25.54). The Lyons are back in action on February 22nd when they open action at the NEWMAC Championships, hosted by MIT in Cambridge, Mass. Action runs through Sunday with preliminaries at 10am, followed by 6pm finals. SQUASH

Mount Holyoke had a busy weekend, falling to Amherst and William Smith, before besting Colgate University to conclude its regular season schedule. The Lyons saw solid action from the top to bottom of the ladder against the Raiders, including a 3-0 win from rookie Emma Robson (Amherst, Mass.) at the seventh spot. Mount Holyoke (7-12) is now idle until Friday when it travels to Harvard University to take part in the 2018 CSA Team Championships. Action begins on Friday and runs through Sunday.

BASKETBALL

The Lyons shouldered losses to MIT and Emerson in NEWMAC action last week. Rookie Raquel Fitzpatrick (Providence, R.I.) had a strong effort in Saturday's match against the Lyons, finishing just short of a double-double with a team-high 11 points, nine boards and three assists. Mount Holyoke (0-22; 0-14 NEWMAC) concludes its regular season schedule this week beginning Wednesday with a 7pm home game against Smith College. The Lyons conclude the week at Wellesley on Saturday at 2pm. Fans can follow all the action live (when available) at http://athletics.mtholyoke.edu/sports/wbkb/2017-18/schedule.
