Seth Hussey Named Lyons Head Rowing Coach

Mount Holyoke Athletics welcomes new head rowing coach Seth Hussey!

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Mount Holyoke College Director of Athletics Lori Hendricks has announced the hiring of Seth Hussey as the head coach of the rowing program and lecturer in physical education. Hussey joins the department after serving the last three years as the novice rowing coach and boathouse manager at Wellesley College.

"We will draw upon these for strength as we set out to build Mount Holyoke Rowing into one of the premier DIII programs in the country. I wouldn't be here if that wasn't the absolute end goal. It will take time and much effort, but I feel like there are many hands all pulling toward that goal together. It's an exciting time to be a Lyon!"

"We are very excited to have Seth join our athletics family.  He brings a wealth of NCAA Division III experience, having served at Hamilton, Bates, and most recently under MHC alumna, Tessa Spillane, at Wellesley College," said Hendricks.  "These experiences in high performing athletics programs and highly demanding academic institutions demonstrate an understanding of the environment in which our student-athletes thrive at Mount Holyoke."
