RIDING

The Lyons concluded their 2016-17 campaign last week at the IHSA National Championships. MHC finished 11th overall in the team competition, powered by several strong rides. Pacing the way was senior captain Bridget Finnerty (Baltimore, Md.), who earned Reserve National Champion honors in Individual Open Equitation Over Fences, finished 13th in the Cacchione Cup and also earned National Rider Sportsmanship honors. Mount Holyoke finished its season having won seven of eight shows during the regular season, as well as victory at the Zone 1 Championships.

ROWING

The Lyons returned to the water on Saturday at the 2017 New England Rowing Championships on Lake Quinsigamond. MHC saw its varsity eight boat, the varsity four and the second varsity eight boats all advance to the Petite Finals of their events, finishing fifth, third and fifth, respectively. Mount Holyoke is back on the water on Friday when it returns to Worcester for the National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC). Action begins in the morning with the opening heats, followed by the finals in the early afternoon.
