 RIDING

Mount Holyoke is idle until March 4, when it hosts a home show at the MHC Equestrian Center.

SWIMMING & DIVING

Mount Holyoke was back in the pool last week at the 2017 NEWMAC Championships, hosted by WPI. The Lyons saw a number of solid performances, including first year diver Samantha Nemivant (Scottsdale, Ariz.), who finished ninth in the 1-meter event, before closing out her first conference meet in sixth off the 3-meter board. MHC concluded its team season last weekend, but Nemivant returns to action this weekend at the 2017 NCAA Division III Northeast-North Diving Regionals, hosted by MIT.

Action begins on Friday (2pm) and continues on Saturday (12pm). The top divers from each region across the country will be selected to compete at the 2017 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships from March 15-18 in Shenandoah, Texas.

SQUASH

The Lyons concluded their regular season schedule in fine fashion last week, earning a critical 5-4 victory at Connecticut College on Friday. Senior captain Allison Shilling (New Canaan, Conn.) recorded the match-deciding victory to lead MHC.

Mount Holyoke (7-16) returns to the court this weekend when they travel to Princeton, N.J., to compete at the 2017 CSA National Team Championships, hosted by Princeton University. Action begins on Friday and runs through Sunday. More details, including opponents and match times, will be announced early this week by the CSA.

BASKETBALL

Mount Holyoke concluded its 2016-17 season last week, suffereing losses to Smith and Coast Guard. Senior captain Xajaah Williams-Flores (The Bronx, N.Y.) recorded a game-high 10 rebounds against the Bears in her final game as a Lyon on Saturday. The Lyons finish their season with a 2-22 record, going 0-16 in NEWMAC play.

TRACK & FIELD

The Lyons saw sophomore Donari Yahzid (Atlanta, Ga.) in action last weekend at the 2017 New England Division III Championships at MIT. She placed 16th overall in the long jump finals to conclude her indoor season. Mount Holyoke is now idle until March 25 when it opens the outdoor season at the Wesleyan Invitational.

LACROSSE

Mount Holyoke opens its 2017 campaign on Saturday in a 4pm road game at Gordon College. The Lyons, who are led this season by interim head coach Courtney Nivala, look to improve upon a 2016 season which saw them go 3-11. The Lyons return 13 players from last season's roster, including senior captain Charlotte Wagner (West Chester, Pa.), who tallied 26 goals with five assists for 31 points last year.
