KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) has announced its 2016-17 Board of Directors and Mount Holyoke College Director of Athletics and Chair of Physical Education, Dr. Lori Hendricks '92 has been elected for a four-year term.
The announcement was made last week as the Board of Directors met for the annual meetings. Terms officially began on October 11, 2016 when candidates were announced at the NACWAA National Rally in Kansas City.
"We are thrilled to have someone of Lori's talent and background on the NACWAA board of directors," said NACWAA CEO Patti Phillips. "She brings extensive experience in higher education, and in leadership roles both on campus and at the NCAA National office, which will help us continue to grow and serve our members at the highest level. We are fortunate to have her on our leadership team!"
Hendricks has served as Mount Holyoke's director of athletics and chair of the Department of Physical Education since 2013. As a member of the NACWAA Board of Directors, she will serve as the chair of the organization's Foundation Fund Committee.
The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) is the premier leadership organization that empowers, develops, assists, celebrates, affirms, involves and honors women working in college sports and beyond. NACWAA takes a pro-active role in advancing women into positions of influence and powerfully shapes the landscape of women leaders.
