SWIMMING & DIVING

Mount Holyoke returned to the pool last week, falling to Clark and Wheaton at home, before splitting tri-meet action at Trinity. The Lyons bested Vassar by a 144-134 margin, paced by three individual victories from senior captain Emily Craig (Rochester, N.Y.). MHC (2-6) returns to action this weekend when it travels to Vassar to compete at the 2017 Seven Sisters Championship. The meet begins on Saturday and concludes on Sunday. Action each day begins at 10am.

Fans can watch the championship live at http://www.vassarathletics.com/sports/2014/9/2/boxcast3.aspx?id=349.

SQUASH

The Lyons had a busy week against Yale, St. Lawrence and Connecticut College. Despite falling in all three matches, MHC saw each of the top four on the ladder win against the Camels. Leading the way was junior Brandy Williamson (New York, N.Y.), who fought for a 3-2 victory from the first position. Mount Holyoke (2-11) returns to action on next weekend when it returns home to host matches in the Pioneer Valley Invitational. The Lyons will take on Colby College at the MHC Courts on Saturday at 9am, followed by a match against Wesleyan at 12pm.

BASKETBALL

Mount Holyoke shouldered losses to Wellesley, WPI and Wheaton in NEWMAC play last week. Senior captain Xajaah Williams-Flores (The Bronx, N.Y.) posted a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds in Thursday's action against the Engineers. The Lyons (2-12; 0-8 NEWMAC) are back on the court this evening when they travel to Plymouth State for a 6pm contest. MHC  returns home on Saturday, hosting Babson at 1pm.
