STRENGTH & BALANCE (F/S ONLY)
The strength and balance fitness class is a fun, circuit-style class that focuses on improving strength, balance, cardio, and proprioception. The class starts with a warm up, and then it moves through a circuit of exercises that combine strength and balance. For example, we do lots of exercises on one leg, or in other positions that engage the ankle, knee, and hips to stabilize the body. The class also works on improving core strength for full body stabilization. Because each exercise will have modifications for increasing or decreasing the challenge, this class is great for all ages and abilities.
ZUMBA
This Zumba class is a high energy workout in a relaxed environment. We’re all here to sweat, have fun and have a period in the day to clear our minds and feel better after moving our bodies. I include many different styles of dance in my Zumba class and all fitness levels are welcomed! No prior Zumba or Dance experience is needed. I look forward to dancing with you all!
SPIN
Get your heart rate up and your weekend off to a great start with this Friday afternoon Spin class. We will ride using the beat of the music as our guide. Every class will start with a short warm up followed by a variety of hills, sprints, jumps, and endurance work, guaranteed to make you sweat and leave class energized. This class is great for both beginners and more experienced Spinners. The instructor will give cues based on effort level, so you can create the perfect challenge level for you. If you are new to Spinning, arrive 10-15 minutes early to get set up on a bike.
MINDFUL FLOW YOGA
Join us for a breath-centered, mindful flow yoga class designed to support faculty, staff and students in cultivating strength, mobility, and presence. We’ll explore a wide range of yoga postures—including standing, seated, and reclining poses, arm balances, and backbends—with clear guidance into and out of each pose. Modifications will be offered to honor individual needs and experience levels.
This class blends traditional yoga asana with mobility practices, mindfulness, and a spirit of curiosity. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or deepening an existing practice, you'll leave feeling more grounded, more connected to your breath, and more present.
